La Romana

La Romana is a large city (by Dominican standards), located in the southern part of the country, at the mouth of the Rio Dulce River. But the second, important reason is ... Altos de Chavón . This name stands for a replica of a 16th-century Mediterranean settlement built in the 1970s. It is also a cultural center, a place of numerous events, concerts and artistic happenings.
