It was in Krzemieniec that the famous Polish poet, one of the National Prophets - Juliusz Słowacki, was born. The city has a long and rich tradition, as it was first mentioned in the 12th century. Over the centuries, it was sometimes within the borders of Poland. Hence, many Polish traces are visible here to this day, and many representatives of the Polish diaspora still live here.

What's worth seeing in Kremenets? First of all, the manor house of Juliusz Słowacki . There is a small museum devoted to the life and work of this great poet. In the church of St. Stanisław, in one of the naves, there is his monument, and in the Tunic cemetery is the grave of his mother. The most characteristic point of the city is the castle , which towers over the surrounding area. The stronghold, which is dedicated to Queen Bona, was rebuilt in the 15th century and became a Renaissance residence. Unfortunately, most of its buildings have been destroyed. But the remains of the defensive walls, the entrance gate and one of the towers have survived to this day. Other monuments of Krzemieniec worth visiting are the monastery and the church of the Jesuits and the Krzemieniec Secondary School , which form one complex.
