Trabzon

Located in the north-east of Turkey , Trabzon is a city with a centuries-old past. Its origins date back to the 6th century BC . Due to its location - right on the shores of the Black Sea, as well as at the intersection of trade routes, it developed rapidly for a long time and enjoyed considerable autonomy.

The Silk Road ran through Trabzon, and the wealth of the city was evidenced by beautifully decorated, gilded buildings. Unfortunately, the nineteenth and twentieth centuries were not very kind to him and its importance slightly decreased. It is now the most important city in the eastern Turkish Black Sea, both in terms of trade and culture . You will find many monuments and interesting museums here. In addition, Trabzon stands out from other Turkish cities because it is a truly green oasis . The surrounding area is also full of lush vegetation on the slopes of the mountains, which is a nice change from the sun-scorched earth in other parts of the country.
For whom?
Although Trabzon is an interesting city, it will appeal to connoisseurs here . So if you have seen most of the most important places in Turkey and you happen to visit the east of the country, then you can consider visiting this city. Trabzon is not captivatingly beautiful, but if you like sightseeing you will find some interesting attractions there.
