Ararat

Ararat, or more precisely Ağrı Dağı , meaning "difficult mountain", is the highest point of Turkey. It rises to a height of 5137 m above sea level . It is a dormant volcano and it is easy to recognize it in the Turkish landscape, because its top is covered with snow. The Ararat massif consists of two peaks, the Little and the Great, which, according to legend, are two sisters transformed into mountains.
