<p>It is worth coming to Eindhoven <strong>all year round</strong> . The most interesting attractions of the city can be visited without any problems, regardless of the weather. If you are a designer you should visit Eindhoven <strong>for Dutch Design Week</strong> <strong>in October.</strong> It is an excellent opportunity to network and make new friends, as well as get acquainted with the latest projects of famous artists and graphic designers.</p>

When to go to Eindhoven?

<p>The very center of Eindhoven is small and <strong>can be easily explored on foot</strong> . The museum&#39;s collection includes, among others: paintings by Picasso, Chagall, Mondrian, Kadinsky and the Russian artist El Lissitzky, as well as lots of sculptures and interesting installations.</p><h3> Philips Museum</h3><p> It was in Eindhoven that the first Phillips factory was established. Today, in the same place where the first light bulb was produced in 1891, there is <strong>a modern, interactive museum</strong> . Great entertainment for adults and children. An interesting history of the company itself and the development of electricity. The perfectly maintained and <strong>still operational De Collse Watermollen is open to visitors every Saturday</strong> between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Three qualified millers are responsible for the production of wheat and corn flour. You can also buy ready-made products on site.</p><h3> Genneper Park </h3><figure id="attachment_71597" class="wp-caption alignleft hero-image"><img class="size-medium wp-image-71597" src="https://media.brate.com/images/europa/holandia/eindhoven/eindhoven-genneper-park.jpeg?tr=n-hero" alt="Eindhoven" width="500" height="326"><figcaption class="caption"> Genneper Park, Eindhoven, Netherlands - © Brate</figcaption></figure><p> Recreational area and amusement park <strong>with attractions for the whole family</strong> . Several swimming pools and an aqua park, an ice skating rink, a hockey rink, mini-golf, several football fields, and even a stud farm offering training for young riders - you can&#39;t get bored in Genneper Park. Perfect entertainment for the whole family. You can get to the park by bus, although considering how extensive it is, you&#39;d be better off renting a bike.</p>

What to see in Eindhoven?

<p>Eindhoven&#39;s nightlife is centered around the city center and divided into five areas, each offering a different type of entertainment. The most happening is on <strong>Stratumseind, which is the longest party street in the Netherlands.</strong> Here you will find over 50 bars, pubs and clubs, and a very diverse range of music - from salsa, through rock and techno, to the latest dance hits.</p><h3> Wilhelminaplein</h3><p> On weekends, crazy parties on Stratumseind last until the morning. A more <strong>subdued atmosphere prevails on Wilhelminaplein</strong> . It&#39;s worth having dinner here and staying for a few drinks. The atmosphere in bars is mainly rock and roll. In the old tenement houses <strong>of De Bergen</strong> (the only district that was not destroyed during the war) you will find <strong>cozy, atmospheric pubs</strong> and you will feel a bit like in Paris. However, the restaurants on the main <strong>square (Markt) and on the quiet Dommelstraat are the best places for a good dinner.</strong></p><h3> Café Bar &#39;t Lempke</h3><p> <strong>The most famous</strong> pub on Stratumseind. Loud, crowded, but always good music and a nice atmosphere (Stratumseind 28-30).</p><h3> Ketelhuis</h3><p> <strong>The hipster</strong> Ketelhuis on Ketelhuisplein 1 is located in the former boiler room of the Philips plant. Here you will find a café, restaurants and a cocktail bar. <strong>Industrial, raw spaces and retro interior design</strong> create a truly atmospheric combination.</p><h3> De Vooruitgang</h3><p> <strong>The trendiest bar</strong> in town. A huge, over 100-year-old building restored in New York style. The interior is enriched with mirrors, Persian carpets and old Dutch furniture. Good lunch menu (Markt 11).</p>

Nightlife in Eindhoven

<p>Eindhoven is a <strong>modern metropolis</strong> made of glass and metal, and an important point on the map of <strong>world design and graphics.</strong> The famous Design Academy is located here and the prestigious Dutch Design Week is held, attended by top designers from all over the world. </p><div id="attachment_80570" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 500px;"><img class="size-medium wp-image-80570" src="https://media.brate.com/images/europa/holandia/eindhoven/eindhoven-1.jpg?tr=n-hero" alt="Eindhoven" width="500" height="333"><p class="caption"> Eindhoven, The Netherlands - © Brate</p></div><p> Until recently, the Dutch city perceived as the least interesting (everyone hit <a href="https://brate.com/europe/the-netherlands/amsterdam/">Amsterdam</a> ) is slowly gaining momentum and rediscovering its identity. Hipster pubs, restaurants, cultural centers, offices and workshops are being built in the buildings of the former Philips factory. <strong>The city&#39;s industrial charm, creative atmosphere and varied nightlife</strong> attract young people from all over the world to Eindhoven.</p><h2> For whom?</h2><p> <strong>Eindhoven</strong> is an excellent destination for <strong>people interested in modern art</strong> and <strong>design</strong> . It is worth dropping by here for the whole weekend, visiting museums, and wandering around the numerous pubs in the evening. In Eindhoven you can also spend <strong>time with children in an interesting way.</strong> The huge amusement park and the interactive Philips Museum should appeal to even picky little ones.</p>

Wonderful, very nice owner, speaks English and German very well. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood close to the center. The rooms were neat and clean, although a bit old-fashioned. The bathroom was shared with other guests, but it didn&#39;t bother us at all because everyone cared about cleanliness. Delicious breakfasts!

It&#39;s more of a hostel than a hotel. Ok for one, two nights at most. No air conditioning, small rooms, no sink in the bathroom. The advantage is the great location in the center and the ability to store your luggage after check-out.

The hostel is located a 5-minute walk from Stratumseind, so perfect if you&#39;re coming to Eindhoven to party. Only shared rooms. You can play billiards and darts in the common room.

We chose this hotel because of its central location and the possibility of checking in outside reception opening hours (you know how it is with cheap flights, the hours are completely off). Keys can be collected at a nearby bar after prior telephone contact. Our room was really big, the bed was comfortable and we even had a sink! Very good value for money!
