Nowadays, after many refurbishments, you can admire its amazing and richly decorated interiors. You will definitely go to the castle tower and take a walk in the gardens surrounding the fortress, where you will find interesting sculptures of gnomes and a unique wooden bridge. Right next to the castle there is a historic town square with charming, low tenement houses. They are distinguished by Renaissance architecture and arcaded arcades. Noteworthy is also the Marian Column from 1696 and the statue of the Holy Trinity from 1767. The New Town on Metuje also offers a large number of viewpoints. A walk along side streets will lead you to the rocks from which you will be able to admire the vast panorama of the area.
