Hradec Kralove is one of the oldest Czech towns. It is located in the north of the country, close to the border with Poland . Thanks to its long history, you will find an interesting combination of Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and modern architecture . After a thorough reconstruction at the beginning of the 20th century, Hradec Kralove gained a radial circular development plan . Since then, it has been called the Salon of the Republic .

It is worth looking at the city from above, preferably from the White Tower, located in the very center. Other places worth visiting are the Gallery of Contemporary Art and the Museum of East Bohemia. The atmosphere of the whole city is definitely created by its location - at the confluence of two rivers: the Elbe and the Orlica.

For whom?

If you are interested in the history of the Czech Republic and the region, then you must visit Hradec Kralove and its numerous museums. If you appreciate interesting architecture from different eras , a walk along the streets of this city will certainly be interesting for you.

Hotel u České koruny

Hotel u České koruny is a small facility located right in the old town. For me, it was the perfect choice to spend an interesting weekend in Hradec. Nicely restored building and rooms. For breakfast you had to go underground. For me it was an attraction, not a drawback.

Very good hotel in a great location. We were unlucky with the weather, so we weren't able to visit everything. Very good conditions, exemplary service. Additionally, we lived in the Old Town, so we had all the attractions close at hand. The only downside is that you have to pay extra for parking. But worth!

Hotel Okresní Dům

Hotel Periodní Dům is located in a beautiful, classic building. It is located right next to the old town and a few steps from the Elbe River. It has free private parking. The room and interior of the hotel are a combination of modernity and old style.

Hotel U Královny Elišky

A hotel that blends perfectly between classic tenement houses in the very center of the city. The room met my expectations. I was very impressed by the interesting internal patio. A big plus is the SPA center with a small swimming pool at guests' disposal.

EA Hotel Tereziánský dvůr

A decent hotel located in the center of Hradec Kralove. The walk to the old town took me about 5 minutes. The room was spacious and very well equipped. After an intense day, I could relax in a nice SPA zone. Everything was at a high level, including fantastic breakfasts. A very good option for tourists and those who visit Hradec Kralove on business.
