Tabor is a town located in the southern part of the Czech Republic on the Luznice River. It is best known for its well-preserved old town. At the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries, it was one of the most important and richer in the region. Many interesting monuments and the original labyrinthine layout of the city have survived to this day. There are numerous richly decorated Renaissance, Gothic and Baroque tenement houses around the square.

The most important building is the late Gothic Old Town Hall , which is one of the most interesting Gothic monuments in the Czech Republic. Today it houses the Hussite Museum, where you can learn more about the history of the city. There is also the entrance to the underground tourist route running through a network of tunnels under the entire old town . At the main square, there is the Church of the Transfiguration, where it is worth going up to the observation tower to look down on the historic center of the city. When looking for traces of the Middle Ages, it is also worth seeing the Kotnov Tower and the Bekhtinska Gate .
