Visby

Visby is the capital and most important city of the largest Swedish island - Gotland . It is situated in its north-west part and it attracts both foreign tourists and the Swedes themselves. Why are they so eager to come here? First of all, because Visby has a unique, medieval character .

In Visby, the Medeltidsveckan festival , i.e. the Medieval Week, is organized, famous not only throughout Sweden, but also in Europe.
