Sundsvall
Autorka, Travelbay
The industrial town of Sundsvall is situated on the shores of the Gulf of Bothnia. In the 19th century, it was practically completely consumed by fire. Nevertheless, it has managed to preserve the wonderful Scandinavian stone architecture that you will be able to admire while walking through the downtown. Sundsvall, however, hides a lot of other attractions. Make sure to visit Norra Berget , a hilly park that offers a wonderful panorama of the entire city.

Also noteworthy is the city museum , which tells the local history. Also, make time for a trip outside Sundsvall to Galtströms Bruk . It is there that you will be able to admire the buildings belonging to the former steelworks, which closed at the beginning of the 20th century. Surely Sundsvall is not one of the top tourist destinations. But if you do come here, you won't regret your decision!
Who is Sundsvall for?
Sundsvall is a great proposition for people interested in the history of Sweden , especially topics related to industry. Here you can find many places that bring it closer. Also come here if you are looking for places off the main tourist routes . However, you have to be aware that in some places, for example in Kulturmagasinet, where also exhibitions dedicated to the city are organized, there are no descriptions or information in English (or any other language other than Swedish).
