Karlskrona is undoubtedly one of the most popular cities in Sweden among Poles. The reason for this is the fact that there are permanent ferry connections to it from Gdynia. As a result, Karlskrona is the first place they visit in Sweden for many Poles. Does it have anything interesting outside the port to offer tourists?

First of all, Karlskrona is situated on 33 islands , which makes it a very picturesque place. You will find quite a lot of attractions on its premises. The most important ones include the Maritime Museum with an underwater tunnel, fortifications entered on the UNESCO list and the charming old town. You can easily spend the whole day here and then move on to further explore Sweden.

A visit to Karlskrona will be a great place to stretch your bones after a ferry cruise across the Baltic Sea. The city is an ideal destination for walking and sightseeing. The local monuments and museums will surely appeal to you.

First Hotel JA is located in the very center of the city. It looks quite old from the outside, but inside it is very well-kept. Everything was clean, nice and all in all I recommend this hotel. The price-quality ratio is also ok.

First Hotel Statt is an atmospheric facility located in the city center. We had large rooms at our disposal. There are many pubs in the area. Breakfast is buffet style, so everyone will find something for themselves. E-mail contact with the owner and at the reception also went smoothly.

A small, charming hotel that is within walking distance of most attractions. The beds were soft, there were small cosmetics in the bathroom, and you could use an iron if you needed anything. You can see that the facility is new and well-kept. A plus for the terrace where you could drink coffee. Unfortunately, the parking lot is too small and there was not enough space for everyone.

I recommend På Hörnet Vandrarhem because of the very good contact with the owner. The facility is easy to access. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. A kitchen with the necessary products is available to guests. I recommend this place especially if you are traveling by ferry to Gdynia. The terminal is a maximum of 15 minutes by car.

Kronohäktet

Kronohäktet is a clean facility in a good location. We were only a few steps away from the center. There is a public parking lot 10 minutes away, so it was an inconvenience, but survivable. At first we didn't get the wifi password, but the owner quickly sent it. Apart from that everything was absolutely fine.
