In the south of the Swedish part of Lapland, on the shores of Lake Arvidsjaursjön, lies the charming little Arvidsjaur . Both the town and its immediate vicinity are famous for their excellent areas for various forms of active tourism . In summer you will be able to hike or bike along mountain trails that will take you to picturesque places such as the 3-4 meter deep spring Grod located within the Slengmyran marshes or the Vittjåkks peak , which offers a beautiful panorama of Arvidsjaur.

In winter, this corner of Sweden allows you to take part in trips on scooters or dog sleds. It is also an ideal direction for cross-country skiing fans. While in Arvidsjaur, visit Lappstaden as well. Under this name there is a small open- air museum , with traditional wooden huts once belonging to the Sami people.
