Ceuta is one of the two regions that are located in Africa and are subordinate to the Spanish government. It lies on the African side of the Strait of Gibraltar and covers a peninsula of approximately 20 square kilometers . The best way to get here from the European part of Spain is by ferry.

The main attraction is the fortress that towers over the city and its imposing ramparts . Ceuta and Melila are the only places in Africa that are also part of the European Union, so you can get here without any additional visa.
