Cartagena is located 50 km south of Murcia . It is an important commercial and military port city with a long and quite rich history. First of all, you will find here a lot of souvenirs of antiquity . One of the most famous objects of Carrageenan are the ruins of the Roman theater , which were found completely by accident. Anyway, if you are interested in archeology, there is something to do in the city. In addition to the aforementioned theater, you will see the Molinete Archaeological Park or several interesting museums there. Thanks to the intimate atmosphere prevailing in Cartagena, you will also be able to spend a nice time strolling through its picturesque streets.

The NH Cartagena is an elegant hotel located in the heart of the city. I spent one night there, but I could easily go back there. Mainly because of the delicious and very diverse breakfasts. The room was fine, the bed was very comfortable. It was a two-minute walk to the port.

I recommend staying at Hotel Cartagonova. Modern, spacious and bright room. It is close to the center and the area is quiet and peaceful. The only downside is the additional paid parking. But the price of the stay included a nice breakfast.

The stay at Hotel Los Habaneros was not the cheapest, but in Cartagena it is generally difficult to find very cheap accommodation. It is located next to several parks. From the balcony I had a nice view of the square where it stands. Nice interiors, nice service, tasty meals. After sightseeing, I eagerly returned there to relax.

LoopINN Hostel Cartagena

Since I'm traveling alone, I decided to stay in a hostel. I spent two nights at LoopINN hostel. A great place if you like modern architecture and design. The interiors are amazingly decorated, very bright and spacious. Plus a roof terrace with a great view. This was one of the better hostels I've ever stayed in.
