The Scotia Caves

<p>Of course, Logarska Dolina is available all year round. However, if you want to fully enjoy its advantages, visit it <strong>in late spring</strong> (end of May-June) or simply <strong>in summer</strong> (from July to the end of September). Then you also have a chance for the best weather conditions.</p>

When to visit Logarska?

<p><strong>A landscape park</strong> was created in <strong>the Logarska Valley</strong> . And when we get there, no one is surprised. It is an exceptionally photogenic and beautiful point on the map of Slovenia. During your stay in the valley you will be able to see several interesting places.</p><h3> Logarska Valley </h3><figure id="attachment_71597" class="wp-caption alignleft hero-image"><img class="size-medium wp-image-71597" src="https://media.brate.com/images/europa/slowenia/logarska-dolina/logarska-dolina-1.jpg?tr=n-hero" alt="Logarska Valley" width="500" height="326"><figcaption class="caption"> Logarska Dolina, Slovenia - © Brate</figcaption></figure><p> The entrance to the Logarska Valley <strong>is located near Solčava</strong> , close to the border with Austria. <strong>Motorists must pay a fee</strong> . However, pedestrians and cyclists are exempt from it. <strong>An asphalt road</strong> runs practically along the entire length of the valley. It reaches the parking lot, from where the trail to Rinka Waterfall begins. It is worth stopping at a clearing located approximately in the middle of the valley. It falls from a height of <strong>78 m</strong> . In winter, when it freezes over, it becomes a popular destination for ice climbers. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk from the parking lot. The path is not too demanding or steep. The waterfall itself falls from <strong>a 90-meter cliff</strong> in the form of a single, quite narrow stream.</p><h3> Orlovo Gnezdo </h3><figure id="attachment_71597" class="wp-caption alignleft hero-image"><img class="size-medium wp-image-71597" src="https://media.brate.com/images/europa/slowenia/logarska-dolina/logarska-orlovo-gnezdo.jpeg?tr=n-hero" alt="Orlovo Gnezdo, Logarska" width="500" height="326"><figcaption class="caption"> Orlovo Gnezdo, Logarska, Slovenia - © Brate</figcaption></figure><p> <strong>The best vantage point</strong> from which you can admire the Rinka Waterfall is <strong>Orlovo Gnezdo</strong> . It is a wooden hut located on the rocks opposite the waterfall. To get to it, you have to climb narrow stairs. <strong>From the observation deck there is a beautiful view of the valley, the waterfall</strong> and the surrounding peaks. You can drink local liqueurs and non-alcoholic drinks on site.</p>

<p>Although Logarska Dolina seems to be an ideal place only for family walks or picnics, <strong>people practicing various sports will also be able to have some fun here</strong> . First of all, cyclists and trekking enthusiasts will like it here.</p><h3> Bicycle routes</h3><p> Both <strong>road and mountain bike cyclists eagerly travel along the main route leading along the valley.</strong> Driving from its entrance to its end will be an uphill climb all the time. However, in the other direction you will experience a pleasant and very fast descent. <strong>The neighboring valley running along the Jezera stream</strong> is also a popular destination for trips. The road leading there leads to quite a high altitude, thanks to which you can admire a vast panorama of the area.</p><h3> Trekking routes </h3><figure id="attachment_71597" class="wp-caption alignleft hero-image"><img class="size-medium wp-image-71597" src="https://media.brate.com/images/europa/slowenia/logarska-dolina/logarska-dolina-6.jpg?tr=n-hero" alt="Logarska Dolina" width="500" height="326"><figcaption class="caption"> Logarska Dolina, Slovenia - © Brate</figcaption></figure><p> Logarska Dolina can be an excellent base for trips to the higher parts of the Kamnik Alps. A popular trail is the one running from the Rinka Waterfall <strong>to the Frischaufov dom hut in Okrešlj</strong> . It takes about 1 hour to complete this quite steep and sometimes quite demanding route. From there you can continue to another shelter - <strong>Kamniška koča na Kamniškem sedlu</strong> , as well as to peaks such as Brana, Turska Gora or Ojstrica.</p>

Active recreation

<p>Located north of <a href="https://brate.com/europe/slovenia/ljubljana/">Ljubljana</a> <strong>, Logarska Dolina</strong> is one of the most recognizable valleys in all of <a href="https://brate.com/europe/slovenia/">Slovenia</a> . It appears very often in folders advertising the natural and landscape values of this country. The valley is approx. <strong>7 km long</strong> . It is largely overgrown by forest. However, most people only decide to take a trip to the <strong>Rinka Waterfall</strong> , located at the very end of the valley.</p><h2> For whom?</h2><p> Logarska Dolina will appeal to you if <strong>you like beautiful nature and unforgettable mountain views</strong> . This place is also <strong>popular with cyclists and mountain hikers</strong> due to the interesting routes in the area.</p>

Hotel Plesnik is a perfect place to stay. It is located in the heart of the valley and offers the most beautiful view of Logarska and the Alps. Of course, I must admit that it was my most expensive accommodation in Slovenia. However, it was worth every penny. The apartment was very comfortable. We could also use the outdoor swimming pool. Swimming among these landscapes was a dreamlike experience!

Hotel Plesnik

The guesthouse is not located in the valley itself, but in its close vicinity. In my opinion, this is a good option for cyclists who would like to ride around the area. The room was neat and cozy. I recommend trying the dishes served by the restaurant there. It&#39;s delicious! There is also a small ethnographic museum on site, presenting the traditions of this region of Slovenia.
