North of Niš , among picturesque hills , lies the small village of Sokobanja . It was known already in Roman times, when the healing properties of the mineral waters found there were discovered. Over the centuries, it has been established that they allow to cure female diseases, cardiovascular diseases or all kinds of problems related to the osteoarticular system.

Sokobanja was the most popular during the reign of the Ottoman Empire. However, it was also often visited later. Among others, he rested here Serbian king Petar I Karadjordjevic , hence Sokobanja is referred to as the royal spa . Among the celebrities visiting this Serbian town was also Nobel Prize winner Ivo Andrić . There are still numerous SPAs in Sokobanja where you can relax and take care of your body.

For whom?

If you are looking for a place where you can relax and unwind, then definitely consider staying in Sokobanji. A stay in one of the local SPAs will cost you less than in Poland. And in the package you will get a wonderful area with interesting monuments and landscapes .

Guesthouse Sunny

In Sokobanja I stayed at the Sunny guesthouse. Maybe it doesn't make much of an impression from the outside, but it's really nice inside. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. I also had no objections to the breakfast that was included in the price of the stay. A big advantage, in terms of sightseeing, was the fact that the guesthouse is in the very center.

Sokoterme Hotel

During our visit to Sokobanja, my wife and I decided to stay at the Sokoterme Hotel. We were very pleased with this choice. The hotel has a SPA and both indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Both have thermal water. Massages and other treatments are also available on site. The meals were very good. The disadvantage of the hotel is its relatively high price compared to other facilities in the city.

Vila Markovic-a

If Sokobanja, just stay overnight in Villa Markovica. My partner and I have been there twice. And each time we were very pleased. The villa consists of very elegant apartments. You will find everything you need to be happy during your holidays. In addition, the price is ridiculously low. In my opinion, they should value themselves higher.

Vila Almax

Our overnight stay in Sokobanja was quite unexpected (our car broke down and we had to wait one day for the mechanic to deal with the problem). Quickly looking for a place, we found Vila Almax. Very nice place. Clean, bright. In addition, a very nice host who, upon hearing about our car adventures, immediately offered us rakija.
