Drvengrad is a unique place on the map of Serbia. In its south-western part, close to the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina, Emir Kusturica built a wooden village for the film " Life is a miracle ". He chose an exceptionally picturesque place, i.e. the slopes of Mokra Góra .

The village is also known as Küstendorf and can be reached, among others, by by a unique railway, the Szargańska Eight (Šarganska Osmica). It is only 15.5 km long , but in this section it covers 22 tunnels or 5 bridges . The cable car ride and visit to Drvengrad are therefore one of the most important tourist attractions to check off during your stay in Serbia .

For whom?

If you plan to visit the most important attractions of Serbia, you must visit Drvengrad and take a train ride. You will also like it if you appreciate beautiful landscapes and prefer idyllic places . However, remember that Drvengrad can experience a real tourist invasion in the high season.

Tri Bagrema KM

Because time and space were bent during our stay in Drvengrad, we had to spend the night there. The Tri Bagrema guesthouse is located a short distance from the village. Simple conditions, the atmosphere of a slightly modernized country cottage. It was very cozy. All in all, we regretted not staying there longer.

Apartments Milev

Milev apartments consist of wooden houses in the heart of Mokra Gora. The area is absolutely picturesque. And the apartments are absolutely wonderful. Finished with wood, incredibly atmospheric. I could move there permanently. Additionally, they are a good base for exploring the area, including Drvengrad or the Mokra Gora range.

Apartaments DM

DM Apartments are located close to Drvengrad. So we rode our bikes to the village of Kusturica. The guesthouse itself is really fine, and its greatest advantage is the incredibly open and helpful host. He will advise you on what is worth seeing or doing there. Cheap and comfortable.

Guesthouse Ana

Guesthouse Ana is an ideal place for one night, for example when you are on the road from Serbia to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The conditions were very good, the room was bright, tidy and spacious, with a kitchenette. The property is surrounded by a pleasant garden. In general, the entire area is incredibly picturesque.
