Shetland Islands
Autorka, Travelbay
The Shetland Islands are an archipelago of around 100 islands (but only 16 are inhabited) in the North Sea, which are part of Scotland. About 22,920 people live in their area. This makes the entire archipelago quite secluded. And also thanks to this, the Shetland Islands could retain their natural character and are an absolute natural paradise. Wild beaches, deep bluffs, cliffs, vast moors, picturesque bays.

As a result, the whole of Shetland was recognized as a UNESCO World Geopark. The islands are not only a great space to admire the beauty of landscapes and the animals that live here, but above all, a great destination for hiking or canoeing . There is something to do here, and all this in a cozy atmosphere, because the Shetland Islands are not crowded with tourists.
For whom?
Visit the Shetland Islands if you like wildlife . Here you will have many opportunities to do so. The archipelago is also a paradise for photographers - both landscape photographers and fans of capturing animals. You will also like it here if you prefer a bit more active forms of tourism and are not afraid of changeable, not to mention highly capricious weather conditions.
