Volgograd

Volgograd is a city with a great deal of history. Initially, it functioned as Tsaritsyne and probably would never have appeared so strongly in the pages of history had it not been for World War II. The then Stalingrad changed the course of history, because in 1942 it was here that the German army was arrested by the Red Army.

The Battle of Stalingrad was paid for with huge casualties (General Paulus' army was surrounded here and then taken prisoner). Apart from the first front line, Russian troops also had barrage troops . So a group of people who shot all deserters. Everything was done against the slogan "not a step back". The city was completely destroyed and rebuilt in a truly Stalinist style. It rejects some, encourages others.
