Kaliningrad

Despite the fact that Kaliningrad is the most western city in all of Russia, it brings to mind the times "rightly changed" when Stalin was worshiped to heaven. And despite quite austere, communist buildings in Königsberg, you will also find a lot of parks and buildings erected in Prussian times. Many of them have been very nicely restored, such as the Cathedral in Kaliningrad . When it comes to monuments, it's the absolute number one. The rest of Kaliningrad's sights are described below in the tab. Apart from it (the Konigsberg Cathedral), the attention is drawn to red brick defensive walls and numerous fortifications.

Kaliningrad is the closest Russian city to Poland . However, you will not enter without a visa, so exploring the city is very difficult. You can enter for a maximum of 3 days (on the basis of a different visa), of course, provided that you are a citizen of a Schengen country.
