Skadar Lake

Skadar Lake is the largest lake in the Balkan Peninsula. It is located between Albania and Montenegro . In the latter area, it is protected as part of the national park. The Skadar Lake is a refuge for migratory birds , as well as a place of occurrence of numerous species of fish .

Being on the Montenegrin side of the lake, it is worth taking the route connecting Vladimir with Virpazar , which crosses the slopes of the Rumija range. The views of the reservoir and mountains on the Albanian side from there are absolutely stunning. You can also count on a beautiful visual experience on a boat trip from Virpazar.
