Podgorica , the capital of Montenegro, is not a pretty or interesting city. Initially , it was called Titograd . During World War II, the city was bombed as many as 70 times, which contributed to the fact that Podgorica is not one of the most beautiful places in the Balkans .

The main advantage of the Montenegrin capital is that it is an important communication junction . There is an international airport there, as well as a train and bus station. Thanks to trains or buses, you can reach most places in Montenegro and the Balkans. However, if you decide to visit Podgorica, be sure to check out the Moraca River canyon and Gorica Hill . In the evening you will also have something to do here

For whom?

In terms of sightseeing, Podgorica is a place for connoisseurs. You won't find many attractions or interesting places to visit there. Two hours are enough to visit the most important points of the capital. However, if you cannot call yourself a connoisseur, then treat Podgorica only as a communication hub.
