Durmitor

Durmitor is undoubtedly the most popular mountain range in Montenegro . It is located in the northern part of the country and due to its exceptional natural and landscape values, it was protected under the national park as early as 1952. Durmitor offers the best network of hiking and biking trails across the country.

The most popular is the ascent to the highest peak of the range , i.e. Bobotov Kuk, 2522 meters above sea level. But other, slightly lower peaks are also noteworthy. An excellent starting point in Durmitor is the town of Żablijak , located at its foot. If you are not really into hiking or riding in the mountains, then at least take the P14 road , which runs through the heart of this range.

Numerous hiking and biking trails as well as a good accommodation base (campsites, hotels and mountain hostels) provide great opportunities for organizing a perfect mountain holiday.
