Galway is located in the west of Ireland, right on the seashore where the Corrib River flows into it. Regardless of the season or the weather, the city is teeming with life. Numerous restaurants and pubs attract both residents and more and more tourists coming here.

Galway

Galway, Ireland

However, the lively atmosphere is not Galway's only asset. First of all, it has an interesting old town. Its symbol and the most recognizable building is the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Nicholas . Although it was established in the second half of the 20th century, it impresses with its architectural craftsmanship and amazing interior. It is also worth visiting Lynch Castle, strolling around Eyre Square or spending a good time in the interactive City Museum.

For whom?

Are you planning a trip to Ireland and looking for a nice, beautifully situated city with a great atmosphere? Then visit Galway. You will be able to spend a good time in Irish pubs , sightseeing and walking along the oceanfront.

Ash Grove House

I spent one night at Ash Grove House. Although my stay was short, I was very satisfied. It is an intimate and pleasant guesthouse. It offers a truly homely, warm atmosphere. Very nice owners. Delicious breakfast. The room is small but comfortable.

Harbour Hotel

Harbor Hotel, as its name suggests, is located directly on the ocean shore. I had a nice view from the room. The hotel interiors are very spacious and modern. Efficient check-in and check-out. Breakfast included.

Jurys Inn Galway

I highly recommend this guesthouse. It is located very close to the center and right by the bay. The conditions were perfect, although you should not expect great luxuries or any amazing interior design here. It's clean, bright, and the bed had a comfortable mattress. Breakfast is charged additionally. But due to the location, there are many pubs and shops in the immediate vicinity.

The Woodquay Hostel

In Galway I stayed at Woodquay Hostel. I recommend it to all people looking for low-budget accommodation. But, although it is cheap, it is also very comfortable, clean and spacious. All in all, there was nothing to complain about. It's just three steps to the center, so if you want to explore, the hostel will be a great base.

Park House Hotel

I had the opportunity to stay at this hotel during a business trip. Although it is an object in an old, classic style, it should be treated as an advantage, not a disadvantage. Central location, delicious meals, always smiling and incredibly helpful staff. The interiors are interestingly decorated, with lots of accessories. To sum up – everything is a big plus.
