In the Firth of Clyde, within Scotland and in close proximity to Glasgow, lies the Isle of Arran . It is a popular excursion destination, especially in summer. Why should you go there? Let's start with the fact that the island of Arran, although not very large, is quite diverse. Its northern part is very mountainous. The southern part of Aran is flatter. You will reach the island by ferry from Ardrossan on the mainland to Brodick . There you will also find one of the most important attractions of the island, with Brodick Castle at the forefront. The area around Sannox is also worth visiting, from where you can go on a trip to the picturesque valley of Glen Sannox . The Machrie Moor Standing Stones , which are Neolithic rocks arranged in several circles, are also noteworthy.
