Due to the enormous size and many interesting underground chambers, tourists can visit various options here. The most popular are short tours on fully groomed and illuminated routes that last about an hour. For the more demanding, there are also variants in which the tour lasts up to 5 hours and takes place in the light of the headlamps. In addition, there are three other interesting caves available to tourists in the park, i.e. the Cave of Peace, Rakoczi and Imre Vassa. The area, thanks to the varied landscapes, is also perfect for hiking, biking and horse riding trips. There are numerous hiking trails in the park. It is also worth visiting the largest towns in the region, Aggtelek and Josvafo , which offer good tourist infrastructure.
For whom?
If you are interested in speleology or just like to explore caves, then the Aggtelek region is definitely not to be missed when visiting Hungary. Would you like to try your hand at a more demanding journey into the depths of the earth? Choose the longer option of visiting the Baradla cave. You will be able to admire the natural beauty of the cave in the light of the headlamps. If the summer heat gets tired of you traveling through Hungary, a trip to the cave will be a great option.
