On Sylt you will find well-known and respected resorts such as Morsum, Keitum, Rantum and List. In the western part of the island, there are some of the most popular beaches, which are also ideal for water sports . Mainly windsurfers and kitesurfers come here. Thanks to the great winds and waves, competitions from the World Cup in Windsurfing series are regularly held here. It is worth adding that Sylt is known in Germany as the place where the most expensive real estate in the country is located. When you decide to visit the island, be sure to see the picturesque Rotes Kliff, Germany's highest moving dunes near the village of List, and the beautifully situated lighthouse in Hornum . You can get to the island by ferry, plane or train. Motorists can transport their car by rail, which runs over an artificially created dyke that connects the island with the rest of mainland Germany.
