Sankt Peter-Ording is a popular resort located on the North Sea. It is known primarily for its huge sandy beach, which is two kilometers wide at low tide. The greatest advantage of these areas is their wonderful, natural character. It is also a good point to visit the extraordinary Watts, or tidal equations. During the low tide time, you can walk here on the bottom of the Wadden Sea, which has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List thanks to its biodiversity.

The enormity of the area surrounding you makes the greatest impression. Thanks to its unique terrain and favorable winds, Sankt Peter-Ording is often referred to as the German capital of water sports such as surfing, kite surfing and sailing. The areas along the Wadden Sea and the North Sea are ideal for long walks. At the entrances to the beaches, there are classic buildings erected on stilts, and some of them feature atmospheric restaurants. Sankt Peter-Ording is the only coastal town in Germany with its own sedimentary sulfur deposits. Thanks to them, it also plays the role of a health resort. In addition to the amazing beach, it is worth seeing the symbol of the city, the lighthouse of St. Peter Bohl from 1892. Tourists interested in this region should also visit the Eiderstedt Landscape Museum and the North Sea Amber Museum.

For whom?

Visit Sankt Peter-Ording if you are looking for great, huge, quite empty spaces. A walk on the beach will be an unforgettable experience. You will also like it here when you appreciate wild nature and vast, interesting landscapes.

Parkhotel Residenz

Parkhotel Residenz is probably freshly renovated and makes a very good impression. The location is great and we were able to walk to all the major attractions in the area. The service was a bit stiff and didn't speak much English, but overall we had nothing to complain about. Large and well-equipped room and very good breakfast.

Very good, modern hotel. It's not big and there was a very nice atmosphere there. The staff made sure that we had a nice time and were happy to suggest what was worth seeing. The room had an interesting decor, was comfortable and spacious. We really liked the breakfasts here. A place worth recommending.

Hotel Zweite Heimat

The hotel was located a bit from the main resort, but at the same time very close to the beach, you just had to cross the dunes. A great place if someone wants to relax in peace and quiet. The room was stylish and interestingly decorated. The whole place quickly put me in a typical holiday atmosphere. Even though the weather wasn't perfect, I have very fond memories of walking around the area.

Beach Motel St. Peter-Ording

A great place, located close to the biggest attraction, the beach. The room was very comfortable and it was nice to sit on the terrace in the evenings and breathe the clean air. Quiet and peaceful surroundings guarantee a pleasant stay. The motel also has great service and delicious meals.

Hotel hauswindschur

Hotel hauswindschur is a small resort where I spent a few days. It is located perfectly between the entrance to the main beach and the city center. It's great that the price of accommodation includes renting a bike and extending the range of your trips a bit. Moreover, the room was comfortable and the staff was nice and smiling. Nice place with a holiday atmosphere. I recommend.
