Sankt Peter-Ording is a popular resort located on the North Sea. It is known primarily for its huge sandy beach, which is two kilometers wide at low tide. The greatest advantage of these areas is their wonderful, natural character. It is also a good point to visit the extraordinary Watts, or tidal equations. During the low tide time, you can walk here on the bottom of the Wadden Sea, which has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List thanks to its biodiversity.

The enormity of the area surrounding you makes the greatest impression. Thanks to its unique terrain and favorable winds, Sankt Peter-Ording is often referred to as the German capital of water sports such as surfing, kite surfing and sailing. The areas along the Wadden Sea and the North Sea are ideal for long walks. At the entrances to the beaches, there are classic buildings erected on stilts, and some of them feature atmospheric restaurants. Sankt Peter-Ording is the only coastal town in Germany with its own sedimentary sulfur deposits. Thanks to them, it also plays the role of a health resort. In addition to the amazing beach, it is worth seeing the symbol of the city, the lighthouse of St. Peter Bohl from 1892. Tourists interested in this region should also visit the Eiderstedt Landscape Museum and the North Sea Amber Museum.
