Cologne downtown Hostel
Great location, a stone's throw from the cathedral. The hostel itself is very well-kept and well-kept, with a nice atmosphere and friendly people. Washing machines available, which is always a plus if you're traveling with a small backpack.

The Penny Pincher Inn
A very nice hostel for a reasonable price. It's a few minutes' walk from Messe/Deutz train station, so it's easy to get to from the airport. A lamp next to each bed. Please note - you cannot arrive after 10 p.m. Check-in is only possible until 18:00

A classic, low-budget chain, good for no more than one night. Very standard facilities and a very standard breakfast. But the location is great for the money.

Weltempfänger Hostel
Hostel located in Ehrenfeld, a district that aspires to be the most hipster in the city. There is a very nice bar on the ground floor, nice, helpful staff and international company. The interior could do with some work.
