After his death, a large, socialist realist edifice was built, in which today you can visit 6 rooms that tell his story. There are paintings and various works of art, personal items or gifts that the chief received. In front of the entrance to the building, there is also a small wooden hut in which he spent his first years, and a railway carriage specially prepared for him, on which he traveled around the lands of the then USSR. The object focuses only on the cult of Stalin and does not present historical facts about his exercise of power. Gori is also known for its picturesque medieval fortress , which clearly towers over the city center. Not far from Gori is also the oldest rock town in Georgia, Uplistsikhe.
For whom?
If you are interested in topics related to the USSR , as well as the figure of Joseph Stalin, you must visit Gori and the museum dedicated to the dictator located here. People who count on historical knowledge may feel a bit disappointed with the exhibition, but they should be impressed by the ruins of the Gori fortress.
