Borjomi

Borjomi is the name of Georgia's most popular export product, i.e. mineral water , which comes from the city of the same name located in the central part of the country. The healing properties of the local water and the specific climate of this area were known already in the Middle Ages. The city of Borjomi was founded in 1829.

Not long later, rich mineral springs were discovered here , which accelerated the development of the entire region. In 1894, the first mineral water bottling plant was established here, and the town became a popular health resort. The famous Borjomi water has a positive effect on the bile ducts and gastrointestinal diseases. It is mined from a depth of 1200-1500 meters. You can try it for free in the Spa Park , which is located in the city center. There are also open thermal pools with a temperature of around 30 degrees. The city is surrounded by the forests of the Borjom-Kharagaul National Park and the mountains of the Low Caucasus . If you want to go on a trip around the area, you can use the cable car, which takes you quickly and comfortably to much more scenic areas. Bottled Borjomi water is currently available in over 40 countries, including Poland.
