Colmar
Autor, Brate
Colmar, the sunniest town in France, is considered the quintessential Alsatian. There are half-timbered houses typical of Alsace architecture along the cobbled streets. In the restaurants, the chefs serve the best Alsatian wines. Traces of Germanic culture are mixed with French, creating the unique character of the entire region lying on the border between France and Germany .

At the same time, Colmar brings to mind easy associations with other towns. One of its districts is called Little Venice ( Petite Venise ) , a copy of New York 's Statue of Liberty stands proudly at the crossroads, and the train station is reminiscent of the one in Gdańsk .
