Troodos
Autorka, Travelbay
Troodos is the highest mountain range in Cyprus . Within it, there is also the highest peak of the entire island, i.e. Olympus . It rises to an altitude of 1,951 m above sea level . Both in the vicinity of the highest peak and in other parts of the range, you will find numerous hiking trails and scenic viewpoints. Thanks to the relatively high altitude, in summer you have a chance to rest there from the heat. In winter, however, you can ski on the slopes of Olimp, where the ski resort operates . In addition, in the Troodos range you will find beautiful Byzantine churches as well as the most famous monastery in Cyprus , Kykkos.

For whom?
If you like to spend time in nature and enjoy beautiful views , then the Troodos range is a must. The local trails are great both for amateurs of short walks and longer mountain trips. In winter, however, the area around Olimp should be of particular interest to you, especially if you ski on one or two boards. The local ski resort can be an interesting alternative to the well-known winter resorts of France or Italy .
