Kyrenia (Girne, Κερύνεια) is one of the most historically interesting cities in Northern Cyprus. It tempts tourists with its climatic streets, a delightful port with a fort , where many yachts are moored. In the city you will find numerous excellent restaurants and bars offering superbly prepared Turkish cuisine as well as delicious seafood. Additionally, the mountainous terrain makes Kyrenia an exceptionally photogenic place . Undoubtedly, it is worth spending a vacation here, even though there are no beaches within the city. The closest are a few minutes' drive from Kyrenia, e.g. in Alsancak.

For whom?

Kyrenia is not a huge metropolis, so it could be a pretty good proposition if you're looking for a quiet vacation spot . And it doesn't matter if you decide to go there with your other half or the whole family. You will love Kyrenia.

Lord’s Residence Boutique Hotel

A very atmospheric hotel located in the very center of Kyrenia. A walk to the port or the castle took us literally a few minutes. Thanks to this, we quickly immersed ourselves in the atmosphere of this unique city. The rooms are of a good standard, and the friendly staff are happy to help you discover the most interesting corners of the city.

Rocks Hotel & Casino

Rocks Hotel & Casino offers excellent conditions, which is ideal if someone wants to combine sightseeing and relaxation. Very close to the city's biggest attractions, and after an intense day we could relax by the pool or on a private beach. Plus a great selection of dishes for breakfast and lunch. I recommend!

Olivia Palm Hotel

Hotel Olivia is located very close to the castle, but it is also a bit away from the main promenade, which makes it quiet and peaceful. The view of the sea absolutely enchanted us! There is also a private swimming pool, which we used mainly in the afternoons. Very good conditions for a reasonable price.

Best Kyrenia Hostel

If you are going to Kyrenia alone, I recommend staying at the Best Kyrenia Hostel. It's a great, relatively cheap place, offering excellent conditions and a location in the center of the town. The dorm room was cozy, bright and comfortable. The common area was beautifully decorated.

Kemerli Konak Boutique Hotel

Kemerli Konak Boutique Hotel is a magical place to stay. The building is stylized as an old Turkish house. However, the interiors are incredibly luxurious. After exploring the city, we could relax in the outdoor swimming pool. The stay there may not be the cheapest, but sometimes it's worth paying a little extra.
