It has an area of 230 km². It covers an incredibly diverse terrain, including valleys, gorges, and picturesque bays with sandy beaches.

Akamas is also highly biodiverse . 168 varieties of birds, 20 species of reptiles, 16 species of butterflies and 12 species of mammals live there. Akamas also delights with its rich flora . There are numerous hiking trails on the peninsula, and some bays are an ideal place to relax.

A good base for exploring the Akamas Peninsula is the town of Polis. We spent three nights at Souli Beach Hotel. It has a great location - right on the seafront, offers relatively low prices, and also has an outdoor swimming pool. Additionally, delicious, varied breakfasts and lunches. What's more, we had a wonderful view of the sea from the window.

If you are looking for a hotel right next to the beach and in close proximity to the Akamas Peninsula, then definitely choose to stay at Aphrodite Beach Polis. I really liked everything there - from the location, through the decor and service. Don't expect great luxuries there. But the price, compared to other hotels, is really competitive.

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending a week at the Caprice Spa Kosher Resort. A great place for traveling couples, peace and quiet. Several swimming pools, which compensate for the fact that you have to walk about 10 minutes to the nearest beach. Our room was very spacious and bright. We recommend choosing a stay with breakfast, because it is very good.

G&E Beach Apartments

G&E Beach Apartments

A great place for people who want to be independent. We rented an apartment with a kitchenette, so we could prepare our own meals. We were close to the Akamas peninsula, and because we lived in Polis, we also had shops and restaurants close at hand. Another big advantage is that the beach is 2 minutes from the apartment.
