Zumberak

West of Zagreb, right on the border with Slovenia, is one of the less visited parts of Croatia by tourists. It is the Zumberak region, more specifically the Žumberak-Samoborsko gorje nature park . As the name suggests, it covers a mountain range whose highest peak - Sveta Gera , is 1102 m above sea level.

However, Zumberak is known primarily for the vineyards growing on the slopes of the local picturesque hills. On the other hand, a visit to one of the villages scattered around it will allow you to look inside the beautiful local churches. A stop in Zumberak can be an interesting proposition for a transit overnight stay on the way to / from Poland. But it is also worth visiting to get to know a completely different face of Croatia, which does not start or end on the coast.
For whom?
Are you looking for an intimate, idyllic place to spend a few days in Croatia? In that case, Zumberak will be the perfect proposition for you. It is also a great destination for people who would like to try excellent Croatian wine . Also visit Zumberak if you like hiking or biking tours .
