Sibenik

Situated at the mouth of the Krka River into the Adriatic Sea, Šibenik is a picturesque town through and through. Situated right on the seashore, on the hills, it offers beautiful views. However, it owes its popularity mainly to the old town , entered on the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List .

The second reason why tourists visit it in large numbers is the fact that several scenes of the famous series Game of Thrones were filmed there . Šibenik also has a large marina, which is a popular base for yachting among the surrounding islands.
