Mljet
Autorka, Travelbay
Mljet is the eighth largest Croatian island. Compared to others, it is a kind of green oasis. And all thanks to the fact that it is covered with dense forests. Due to its natural values, the western part of the island is under protection as part of the Mljet National Park . There are two salt lakes Malo and Veliko Jezero on its territory. On the second of them there is the biggest attraction of the whole Mljet, i.e. the islet of St. Mary with the Benedictine abbey . It is worth visiting this corner of Croatia if you want to take a break from the crowds and enjoy the blissful peace.
