Hvar island

The island of Hvar is considered one of the most beautiful islands not only in Dalmatia, but also throughout Croatia . First of all, it is famous for the fact that a large part of it is covered with lavender fields. When they bloom, they not only create exceptionally photogenic purple patches, but above all give off a lot of aromatic essential oils. The island of Hvar is also associated with… car accidents . The plain stretching next to it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List . This area was shaped by the Greeks, who pulled the roads this way, but most of all they surrounded small fields with walls. The plain has hardly changed at all since then.
