Cres
Autorka, Travelbay
Cres is the second largest Adriatic island . It has an oblong, slightly spindle-shaped shape and a rather harsh landscape. Its close neighbor is the island of Krk , from which it can be reached by ferry, and is separated from the island of Lošinj by a narrow passage over which a bridge has been placed.

Cres, although it may not look like it at first glance, is a very important point on the map of Croatia in terms of nature. It is a refuge for quite a large population of griffon vulture . On its territory there is a freshwater lake Vransko , which is a reservoir of drinking water. In addition, there are several endemic plant species in Cresa. The island seems quite deserted even in high season. However, this is due to the fact that it is really large, there are not too many towns in it, and there are so many beaches that everyone will find a quiet and uncrowded part of the coast for themselves.
For whom?
The island of Cres will appeal to you if you like quiet places that allow you to calm down and fully rest. You will find a lot of nice beaches here. If, however, you are interested in nature , a visit to Bela will be an interesting option for you, where you will have a close look at the griffon vulture population (if the birds want to show themselves to you).
