Pocitelj

Tiny, stuck to the mountain slope of Pocitelj (Počitelj), it dominates the lower reaches of the Neretva before it crosses the border with Croatia . The town is best seen from the main M17 road leading from Mostar to the south of the country. Počitelj's history goes back to Roman times, but it is also known as the place where pirates were hiding . Currently, it is eagerly visited by tourists who are enchanted by beautiful, historic, stone buildings and wonderful views.
