The Zillertal is one of the most famous ski regions not only in Austria , but also throughout Europe. Located in a valley, it is the largest complex of this type in the world. It offers 180 ski lifts and almost 550 km of ski slopes of various difficulty levels. The whole is divided into four main regions: Hochzillertal - Hochfügen - Spieljoch, Zillertal Arena, Mayrhofner Bergbahnen, Ski- & Gletscherwelt Zillertal 3000. Whether you want to ski on groomed slopes or snow, here you will find the right slopes for myself.

However, the Zillertal is also worth visiting outside the winter season. Lots of attractions await you in the summer. In this part of Austria you will find 1,400 km of mountain hiking trails and 1,200 km of bicycle paths. The Zillertal has an excellent accommodation base, which, in addition to hotels, consists of 150 sensational mountain huts . So if you are an enthusiast of active tourism, be sure to go there!

For whom?

Zillertal is primarily a proposition for winter sports fans . Austria's most famous ski resort has a lot to offer, no matter what type of skiing you prefer. However, if you come here in summer, you will be able to cycle or hike along the well-groomed trails.

Hotel Garni Jagdhof

Hotel Garni Jagdhof is located in Zell am Ziller, the center of the entire Zillertal ski region. A place worth recommending. The hotel is quite traditional, decorated in Tyrolean style. Very nice owners. Free parking. The nearest ski slope is approx. 300 m away.

Emma's kleines Hotel

Fantastic hotel. I spent my winter break there with my wife. It was a very successful week, both in terms of skiing and the hotel itself. Nice interiors, beautiful view from the window and delicious breakfasts. The service is also at the highest level.

Gutshof Zillertal

We visited Gutshof Zillertal in the summer, but it's probably worth visiting in the winter as well. There is a nice garden and an outdoor swimming pool. You can rent bikes on site, which is a great option. Thanks to this, you can explore this picturesque area in an interesting way. We recommend the option with breakfast - it is very tasty.

Sporthotel Manni

I have had the opportunity to stay at Sporthotel Manni three times now. Because I return to this part of Austria quite regularly, mainly in winter. It's quite a modern facility. There is a swimming pool and a small spa on the roof. Views – first class. The room is quite large with a comfortable, large bed.

Hotel Theresia

Hotel Theresia absolutely met my expectations. I spent three days there and it was definitely not enough. Both to get to know the local slopes and to enjoy the atmosphere of the area. The hotel has a swimming pool. From the room window I had a beautiful view of the mountains. The price of the stay included both breakfast and dinner. For me it was the perfect option. And what's more, they feed very well there.
