Krems , or more specifically Krems an der Donau, is a charming town located in the Wachau Valley , famous for its vineyards and beautiful views. The majestic Danube flowing here has created an exceptionally picturesque scenery that will delight you at any time of the year. Krems is the eastern gate to the entire valley. It is also one of the oldest cities in all of Austria.

The old town of Krems impresses with its architectural craftsmanship . It is for this reason that in 2000 it was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List . The atmospheric streets, churches, tenement houses and bustling squares make visiting Krems a pleasure in itself. It is also worth adding that there is a lot going on in this Austrian city. Mainly due to cultural events organized there, such as the Danube Festival, the East-West Music Festival or the Film Festival.

Hotel Klinglhuber

In Krems I had the opportunity and pleasure to stay at the Klinglhuber Hotel. First of all, I was pleasantly surprised by the breakfasts. A huge selection of dishes, their high quality and freshness. The hotel has access to parking - public, but free. The room was quite large, with a very comfortable bed.

Gästehaus auf der Kunstmeile

Great guesthouse located in Stein, right next to Krems (it took all of 3 minutes). A very atmospheric place, run by very nice people. Close to the Danube and walking routes leading along it. I recommend the option with breakfast - you can easily eat your fill.

Wein-Gut Hutter

If you would like to live among vineyards and have a wonderful view of the Wachau Valley, I recommend the Wein-Gut Hutter guesthouse. You can reach the center of Krems in about 15-20 minutes. The walk is great because the area offers a lot of picturesque landscapes. The guesthouse itself is amazing - nicely decorated and cozy.

arte Hotel Krems

My wife and I stayed for two nights at the Arte hotel. The place is not the cheapest, but it 100% met our expectations. Beautiful, modern and truly art-filled interiors. The room was huge and bright. The breakfasts were delicious and the service was very nice. Perfect place to stay in Krems.
