Dachstein

Dachstein is a glacier made up of 8 smaller glaciers. It is located in Styria, close to the border with Upper Austria, within the massif of the same name (the Dachstein peak is 2,996 meters above sea level). The glacier is part of the Schladming-Dachstein ski area, which is part of the Ski Amade region. It offers 230 km of ski slopes (out of 760 km available in the entire region), 435 km of cross-country ski runs, 81 modern lifts and plenty of attractions. And among them, among others the ice palace, the famous Sky Walk , the bridge suspended over the precipice or the Dachstein: Cult - art studio (which is the highest located institution of this type in the world).

In the ski area, the youngest can enjoy special, designated zones with prepared slopes and playgrounds. The area is also famous for its excellent restaurants where you can try traditional Styrian cuisine. In summer, in the Dachstein region, almost 300 km of hiking paths, plenty of bicycle routes and the Bike Park Schladming await you.
