Marsa Alam

Marsa Alam (مرسى علم) is the southernmost resort on the Egyptian Red Sea coast. The town itself is not very impressive, but you can find a really beautiful coral reef in this area. Since it is quite shallow here, you can admire it practically standing on the shore. Of course, it's best to get a mask and a tube. Traditional diving is also possible here.

Recreational resorts are located practically at every bay and a nicer part of the reef. However, there are not so many of them here, as in Hurghada, and the distances between them are large, so they allow for an intimate vacation . Marsa Alam had a chance to develop thanks to the international airport , which opened in 2006. True, it is located some 70 km north of the city, but thanks to it, a bit more people have started to arrive here. But don't worry - you don't have to worry about the crowds!
For whom?
Choose Marsa Alam if you want to admire the reef, turtles and beautiful views . This resort, or rather its surroundings, is very intimate, and the resorts allow for a calmer rest . Of course, if you decide to go on optional trips, e.g. to Luxor, you have to take into account the long hours spent on the bus. But, as the saying goes, something for something.
